Quarterly Review: Nov 2018 – Jan 2019
From the FCUSBC Youth Committee Chairperson,
We’re in the heart of the 2018-2019 youth bowling season, and our youth bowling programs are going strong! Here are some highlights from the past three months:
- The Annual Youth City Championship saw a solid turnout, with overwhelmingly positive feedback received!
- First Coast USBC bowlers were on 5 of the 25 teams at the USA Bowling Coastal South Regional Tournament. U12 teams placed 2nd and 3rd, while one U15 team won the non-championship bracket.
- 21 teams participated in the Christmas Classic.
- 20 more bowlers earned their entries into the National Junior Gold Championships through the Ray Potts Memorial, City Tournament, and North Florida Sport Shot Series events. 36 total entries have been awarded this season through our local events!
- One youth bowler earned three honor scores at the City Tournament… 11 in a row, 300 game, and 800 series!
- Our local Youth Leaders chapter is growing, both in numbers and in leadership skills!
We have a lot going on over the next three months — our Annual Youth Scholarship Tournament and Coaches Memorial… our local monthly tournaments like JJBT, NFSSS, Challenge… the Travel League wraps up their season… and the Florida Pepsi / Handicap tournaments!
Maintain focus and push toward your goals!
