Youth Leaders

What is “Youth Leaders”?

Youth bowlers — If you’re enthusiastic, energetic and ready to take a leadership role in promoting the sport of bowling, then we want you to become a Youth Leader.  As a Youth Leader, you’ll be a key part of our youth bowling efforts, helping to shape the future of our sport and expand youth membership. By becoming a Youth Leader, you’ll learn important skills and have a dynamic role in making important decisions for bowling, including: coordinating and leading meetings, coordinating youth programs and recruiting bowlers, fundraising, planning tournaments, awarding scholarships, as well as coaching, training & mentoring youth bowlers.

The Youth Leaders Program provides youth the opportunity to strengthen their leadership skills and enhance local bowling opportunities through promotion, education and involvement.  These young bowlers are the sparks that add excitement and a sense of ownership to USBC Youth activities. They are young bowlers who love the game, attract others to bowling and make it a better sport.

Youth bowlers ages 12 and up from each bowling center may participate in Youth Leaders activities and meetings with voting privileges; Any bowler age 11 may still participate in Youth Leaders activities and meetings but will not have voting privileges.
