JJBT Recap – Feb. ’17
The Jacksonville Jr Bowling Tour (JJBT) held its fourth scholarship tournament of this season on Saturday 2/11/17 at King Pins Bowling Center. 38 bowlers entered and competed for scholarships, “Player of the Year” points, and the opportunity to participate in the videotaped finals (which will be posted on our YouTube channel)! Please note that this was the Bill Kuchler Memorial, and we thank the Kuchler family for donating scholarship money towards each division — allowing us to pay out scholarships to the top 5 places in each division (instead of top 3).

Major Division: 7 bowlers competed in the Major Division (Handicap, averages between 120 – 159) this month. In the Challenge round, Shelbie Wagner finished with the highest series score while Emerson Jacobson had a high handicap game of 264 (scratch score of 183)! At the end of the day, the top 5 finishers were (in order): Shelbie Wagner, Nicklaus Ebey, Emerson Jacobson, Sydney Smith, and Evan Johns.
Classic Division: 14 bowlers competed in the Classic Division (Scratch, 160-184 averages) this month. In the Challenge round, Isiah Bautista finished with the highest series score while David Grigg had the high game scratch score of 279. After the Brackets round, the top 5 finishers were (in order): Creed Towns, David Grigg, Dakota Metlika, John Rossignol, and Isiah Bautista.
Masters Division: 17 bowlers competed in the Masters Division (Scratch, 185+ averages). In the Challenge round, Alex Evans finished with the highest series score, while Shane Mathis earned the high game scratch score of 289! At the end of the tournament, the top 5 finishers were Shane Mathis, Claude Alvin, Chyna Romedy, Kyle Kohler, and Anthony Godwin.

NOTE: The Southwest Florida Classic Tour will make a stop at Nassau Bowling Center on Sunday, March 12th. We are expecting a higher turnout for the JJBT, and JJBT bowlers are certainly encouraged to compete in the Southwest Florida Classic the following day!
