Youth bowlers, parents & coaches:
Happy New Year! Below is a summary of all the Association’s youth bowling events during the very busy month of January 2019, plus a few major events coming up in future months:
- Sat 1/5-Sun 1/6 – USA Bowling Coastal South Regional Baker Team event at Aloma Bowl in Winter Park. Several Association teams (U12 and U15) are formed, practicing, and getting ready to compete!
- Sat 1/12 – FL Pepsi Qualifier #2 during regular league sessions.
- Sun 1/13 – The local Youth Leaders chapter will have a meeting @ Noon at Bowl America Southside. Discussion topics include preparations and assignment for the City Tournament and Coaches Memorial. ALL youth bowlers are invited to join Youth Leaders.
- Sun 1/13 – Week 9 of the FCUSBC Youth Travel League takes place at Bowl America Southside. Group coaching corner is at 12:45pm; league play begins promptly at 1:00pm.
- Sat 1/19-Sun 1/20 – The 54th Annual Youth City Championship will take place at Mayport Bowling Center (Team event) and at Bowl America Mandarin (Doubles/Singles events).
- Sat 1/26 – Youth Committee Meeting, 2:30pm at Batt Family Fun Center.
- Sun 1/27 – The North Florida Sport Shot Series (NFSSS) holds its sixth tournament of the season at Batt Family Fun Center. Check-in is 9am to 9:45am; bowling starts by 10am. Open to all youth bowlers. Compete for experience, Junior Gold entries, or scholarship contests!

- Sun 2/3 & Sun 2/10 – Travel League (2/3 Mayport, 2/10 Batt)
- Sat 2/9 – JJBT at Edwards Bowling Center in Yulee
- Sun 2/17 – Annual Association Scholarship Tournament at Jax Lanes Grove Park
- Sat 2/23 – Challenge Tournament at Bowl America Mandarin
- Sun 2/24 – Coaches Memorial (Ceremony and No-Tap Tournament) at Bowl America Southside
