Let’s get to know more about the winners… oops!

(Editor’s note: We’d like to highlight the 3 Champions, but none of them filled out the “player bio” sheets at any of the JJBT’s and we don’t have any photos available.  We’re hoping that next month we’ll have info to share.)

Next JJBT Event: Saturday, February 11th @ King Pins Bowling Center.

Baker Teams advance to Nationals!

Jacksonville-area teams won both the U12 and U15 divisions of the USA Bowling Coastal South Regional Tournament this past weekend (1/14/17-1/15/17), earning their exclusive spots on the national stage in July!  They are 2 of only 32 teams that will compete in the national tournament during the week of Junior Gold in Cleveland, where the championship matches will be televised on CBS Sports Network.

In the U12 division, “Beach Bowlzinga” went the distance to claim their victory — winning the final game by one pin.  This team was comprised of bowlers all from Beach Bowl!

In the U15 division, “Pocket Pounders” earned the top seed on Day 1 with a 7-1 record — then went 8-1 on Day 2 for the win.  Team members bowl in leagues across the First Coast: Batt Family Fun Center, King Pins Bowling Center, Bowl America Orange Park, Nassau Bowling Center, and the Travel League.

Though they did not win the event, we are certainly proud of “Beach Bowl Pin Dstroyers” (U15- 11th place) and “Ringing Ten-Pins” (U15- 4th place) for their teamwork and accomplishments in this Baker Team Tournament.  Thanks to all competitors, supporting relatives, and coaches (Al, Allen, Donna, Kathy & Ryan) for their time and dedication!
